Abstract

In recent years, the "museum craze" has become a cultural phenomenon, with cultural relics collected in museums bringing their history into the public eye and becoming a sought after subject for dance creators. Innovation in dance works based on the essence of cultural relics is becoming a new direction for dance creation. Cross disciplinary cooperation between the cultural and dance industries has produced numerous masterpieces, and historical relics have provided valuable image materials for the development of traditional Chinese dance. The classical dance work "The Terracotta Warriors" of the 14th China Dance "Lotus Award" was based on the Terra Cotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty. It starts from the different shapes of the terracotta warriors to imagine the story behind them. With the "looking forward to returning" wife as the clue, it tells the praises of heroes thousands of years ago, sadness and tenderness, and feelings of family and country through the expression of space-time crisscross. The article will deeply appreciate the classical dance work "Stories of Terracotta Warriors" and analyze its positive impact on contemporary dance creation.
