Abstract

This article focuses on the Silver Award winning work of the 14th "Lotus Award" Classical Dance Awards, "Thinking Deeply of Hometown: Admonitions of the Instructress the Court Ladies", and explores in depth the organic integration of upholding tradition and innovation in contemporary classical dance creation. By analyzing the work's adherence to cultural heritage, dance essence, aesthetic conception shaping, as well as innovative practices in music elements, stage design, and communication methods, this study reveals the inherent relationship between upholding tradition and revitalizing tradition, that is, upholding tradition lays foundation for innovation and innovation arouses vitality in upholding tradition, which provides theoretical and practical reflections for the sustainable development of Chinese classical dance in a multicultural context.
