Abstract

The nature and purpose of Chinese universities determine that they must undertake the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education and cultivate college students into builders and successors of the socialist cause, which is essential to consolidate China’s enduring socialist foundation and sustain the development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. This is fundamentally premised on college students’ firm confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, college ideological and political courses must focus on solving college students’ practical problems, realizing a transformation from one-way teacher indoctrination to two-way teacher-student interaction, and from teachers’ monologue to teacher-student resonance. Only in this way can we consolidate college students’ ideological foundation of highly recognizing socialism with Chinese characteristics, encourage them to devote themselves to the great cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, and contribute to the realization of national rejuvenation.
