Online learning has become part of education norm after the global pandemic. Many previous researches need to be reconsidered in this new online teaching and learning context. This study aims to find out the levels of student’s foreign language anxiety and motivation, the interplay between the two subjects by questionnaires, and also how these may affect students’ behavior during online class through data collected from online management platform. It is discovered that the anxiety and motivation are positively correlated, and different subscales of these two subjects would have different prediction ability of each other. At the same time, students’ anxiety does not correlate with their behaviors online, but different motivation factors have a more complex relationship with what students do during the online sessions. Based on above findings, some pedagogical implications are proposed to help make better decisions.
