Abstract

Political terms are the political concepts with specific meanings formed by parties and governments in their political activities in dealing with the country’s internal and external affairs. Chinese scholar Yang Mingxing proposes the theory of “Political Equivalence” on the basis of Eugene Nida’s theory of “Functional Equivalence”. According to the theory of “Political Equivalence”, the translation of political terms should take into account the principles of Political Orientation, Equilibrium and Dynamics. Taking Report on the Work of the Government 2022 as a case, this paper explores the translation strategies of political terms from the perspective of Political Equivalence.
