Abstract

Strengthening the cultivation and education of public welfare and charity spirit among young college students, and leveraging the educational function of public welfare and charity spirit, is an extension and innovation of ideological and political education for college students. This article focuses on the fundamental task of universities in implementing the fostering virtue and nurturing people. Based on the current situation of public welfare and charity awareness among young college students and the practical work of ideological and political education in universities, this study explores a series of ways and methods to strengthen the cultivation of the spirit of public welfare and charity among young college students from the perspective of identification, enrich the theoretical education of public welfare and charity, innovate the carriers of public welfare and charity activities, organize public welfare volunteer services and social practices, create a campus cultural atmosphere for college students to actively participate in public welfare and charity, and establish a model for public welfare and charity among college students.
